Toyota rav4 to suv, który zadebiutował w 1994 roku. Na początku było to miejskie auto klasy, aktualnie jest to samochód klasy średniej, także jego komfort i prestiż ciągle się zwiększa.
Druga generacja
W 2000 roku premiera miała druga generacja Toyoty. Tak jak poprzedniczka stworzona została na bazie Toyoty corolli. W Europie i Azji mieliśmy wersję trzy i pięcio drzwiowe, a w Ameryce tylko pięcio. Gama silnikowa nie dawała za dużego wyboru. Podstawowy silnik 1.8 z napędem na przód, rozwijał moc 125 koni mechanicznych. Silniki 2.0 w benzynie jak i dieslu miały napęd 4×4. W 2003 roku po faceliftingu w Ameryce pojawił się silnik o pojemności 2.4 litra i zastępował on dwu litrowy silnik.
Wyposażenie
Najbogatsze wersje samochodu miały ABS czyli system wspomagający hamowanie, ESP który pomagał nam jak wpadaliśmy w poślizg. Dodatkowo mogliśmy też dostać elektryczne szyby, lusterka, tempomat, a nawet klimatyzację. Jak na początek XXI wieku wyposażenie było całkiem dobre, szczególnie, że był to budżetowy suv.
